Hi, Rebecca. It’s so nice that you and the family went to beautiful Colorado. Bonnie Jean and I haven’t traveled or even gone hiking nearby in many years because of our health. But we have great memories and lots of photos to look back on. Our two favorite places near Western New York are Niagara Glen and Chimney Bluffs State Park. The Glen is a nature preserve on the Canadian side of the Lower Niagara River and Chimney Bluffs is an isolated area on the American shore of Lake Ontario. Chimney Bluffs is known as New York States badlands. It’s a drumlin, a cliff of soft rock left behind when the glaciers retreated at the end of the last Ice Age. It wasn’t discovered until sometime in the eighteenth century when someone saw it from the deck of a ship on the lake. Right now we’re just enjoying our retirement in a very low key fashion. Sending lots of love and happiness your way. ❤️!
