My mom was an elementary school teacher, and had quite the collection of books for her classroom. This took me back to fond memories of playing in her room and flipping through all the fascinating tales.
When you buy used you can buy more, right?? 😁 Of course, I’m also happy that I can now afford to buy new books and support my favorite authors that way.
Love it! Thrifted books FTW! The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs was one of my favs as a kid and I got my childhood copy of it! Can’t wait to pull that one out for my kids once the humor is right! Very much in the same ilk as Revolting Rhymes.
I love getting insight into home libraries! This is especially timely for me, as my little ones are very into borrowing library books, and I’ve noticed that we don’t buy books as often as we used to because of that!
Love this!! I feel the same way about collecting good books now that I have kiddos who I hope will be reading like we did :)
Yes yes yes yes yes yes YES! I love every word of this. (Of course I do.)

This is a really thoughtful approach to growing a collection!
I hope it inspires others to build their libraries on a low (or almost no) budget!
I love buying preloved books. My library is 60% thrifted books 💕

It’s so great! One of our most reread books! I’m actually a little amazed that it’s in the shape that it is.

The public library is a great resource in part because it helps you discover which books are worth adding to your library at home.
Love love love!!! And what a selection!!!
