These are delightful! I really love the look of block print but I never pursued it after I, too, was introduced to it in elementary school. I’d love to relearn the art.
You should! I suggest starting with something small and using inexpensive supplies, and perhaps jumping back in with "easy cut" blocks rather than real lino.
My go-to places are Hobby Lobby and Blick. Speedball brand cutters and brayers are inexpensive and should work fine for most things. For my tiny blocks, I use rubber stamp ink instead of block printing ink and it works great. If you're going to make bigger designs using block printing ink I suggest spending a little more to get print making paper because it will receive the ink best. I always use printer paper for my test prints, though! Waste not.
I love these, Rebecca! I took printmaking in college and it's one of my favorite mediums. I think it's because I love to draw more than paint and prints give a little more permanence.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll check it out.
Do you have recommendations for where to get supplies? I know absolutely nothing about it! 😄

So helpful! Thank you!
These are so cool, Becky! I especially love all the tiny ones!
Thank you! Tiny art is a fun challenge.

I love that I can make multiples, yet each one is a unique work of art!
So true! You never know exactly what imperfections you’ll get.
This is so cool!
I love the Polar Bear Xmas cards. Did you ever sell them online?
Thank you! It's been on my to-do list, but I haven't gotten to it yet. Classic me.
