And if you want to sneak them in, try volunteering in the children's department of your library. They always need help and don't complain if you get distracted by the picture books.

Recent favorites of mine were The Three Little Tardigrades by Sandra Fay and Won Ton a Cat's Tale Told in Haiku by Lee Wardlaw.

I used to work in an elementary library, so I approve of this strategy! Also, I love Wonton. There’s a sequel called Wonton and Chopstick!

What a great idea. I learned a lot when I would read books to my kids when they were little. Why not read to myself?

I still have some of my picture books from when I was little, and I wish I had kept more of them! I still enjoy looking at the artwork and studying it.
